Community Connections

The Welcome Process

For most people, moving into a new home can be an exciting and stressful time. This is why Delfin has a long-held tradition of welcoming first-time residents into their new community. Regular Welcome Evenings are held so that residents can quickly feel right at home. These events offer an opportunity for new residents to come together for a casual chat, make new friends, ask questions about their new neighbourhood, and meet many local personalities who are involved in their community.
Every new resident in a Delfin community receives a Welcome Kit when they move into their new home. These useful kits contain information about their new community, from finding their way around local facilities, services and programs, to ideas for getting involved in local activities.
Community Groups

Across all our Delfin projects there are many different community groups which help to build that sense of belonging and ownership. As each Delfin community is different, our community liaison managers consult and identify community needs and offer assistance to local residents interested in establishing these new interest groups. Examples include walking clubs, pilates groups, play groups, local dog club, performing arts groups and leisure groups - just to name a few.
Community Events

It’s easy to find something to do in a Delfin community. Events, festivals and get-togethers happen regularly and residents are loving it. The Summer Festival, Winter Festival, annual Village BBQs and Christmas Carols are just some of the various community events offered, proving to be a terrific opportunity to meet and socialise with neighbours.
Community Update

With so much going on in the community, the Delfin Community Update offers a regular source of local news, calendar of events, and an opportunity for local groups to promote their activities.
Collaboration

Delfin works closely with many varied community organisations and local stakeholders to ensure access to a wide variety of community programs, and to ensure that new ideas for community involvement have an opportunity to develop early and flourish with residents’ involvement.
